Internal ranking structure
Military Police officers hold both their normal infantry ranks as well as have an internal rank within the detachment. A higher internal rank means more privileges, but also more responsibilities.

Military Police officers hold both their normal infantry ranks as well as have an internal rank within the detachment. A higher internal rank means more privileges, but also more responsibilities.
Cadet
- Trial rank, expected to perform under supervision
- Has access to standard issue MP equipment
- Can hand out level A punishment
- Can process POW/Detainees with Constable+ supervision (or alone if no other MP is on duty)
Constable
- Can hand out up to level B punishment
- Can process POW/Detainees
- Can interrogate POW/Detainees with Inspector+ supervision
Inspector
- Can hand out level C punishment if given (Deputy) Chief Constable's permission
- Can process and interrogate POW/Detainees
- Can take POW/Detainees out of cells for labour duty (with at least 1 escort)
Superintendent
- Officer rank, has authoritative command over subordinate MP personnel
- Can hand out level C punishment if given (Deputy) Chief Constable’s permission
- Can process and interrogate POW/Detainees
- Can take POW/Detainees out of cells for labour duty (with at least 1 escort)

Deputy Chief Constable
- Has authoritative command over subordinate MP personnel
- Can hand out all punishment levels
- Has authority over POW/Detainee related matters
Chief Constable
- Has authoritative command over all MP personnel
- Can hand out all punishment levels
- Has authority over all MP-related matters
