BASIC INFORMATION​

The 5th Motorized Militia is a detachment, part of 'RAPTOR' Company that is attached to NOD's 1st Armored Division. The detachment consists of three main branches: Explosive Ordnance Disposal, responsible for the handling of explosives and other high-risk, unstable material. Crewmen, responsible for providing ground transport and armoured support for infantry elements, and Logistical Specialists, responsible for providing on-field logistical support and establishing proper supply storages for global bases of operations under NOD authority.

Keep in mind that being specialized in one or more fields does not restrict you from performing basic engineering duties, such as outpost construction, fortification establishment, vehicular maintenance and the like.

ROLES

EOD Specialists

1. Survey the AO for mines and mark their locations for other teams and friendly elements.
2. Plant mines in strategic positions to disrupt enemy movement.
3. Contain and defuse suspicious objects which are suspected to be of an explosive nature.

Tankers/Crewmen

1. Provide motor/mechanized support to friendly teams out in the field.
2. Conduct vehicular retrieval operations on disabled/abandoned vehicles in the AO.

Logistics Officers (Purely RP role)

1. Keep record of weapons, ammunition and equipment issued to personnel.
2. Record equipment malfunctions.
3. Distribute maps of explosives planted by EOD Specialists to ensure that no friendly-fire occurs.
4. Oversee the state of supplies in the base and make orders for more should any shortages arise.

NOTE: When joining the Detachment you’ll be asked to choose one specialization (EOD/Tanker), this is usually only for the first week or two within the Detachment, after which you may undergo training in the specialization you haven’t chosen when joining the Detachment.

APPLICATION PROCESS​

Step 1
First, in order to join the Engineering Detachment you’ll be asked to submit an application with your basic information such as: name, rank, DOB, POB, serial number, previous experience which may prove useful in your new position and any other information which you think may be relevant to the application. This application can be done either in game or posted on the forums inside the 5th Motorized Militia’s Applications section.

Step 2
After having your application accepted, you’ll be contacted by a member of Detachment Command in order to schedule a time for an IC interview, this step is mostly in order to establish IC relations between the applicant and Detachment Command and any other personnel that are present during this interview

Step 3
Immediately following the interview, you’ll be asked to choose a specialisation from the specialisations listed above. Having chosen a specialisation you will officially become part of the Detachment, starting out as the inner-Detachment rank of Trial-Combat Engineer.
